French painted bisque 11" tall French provincial regional costumed doll from approximately 1920's - 1930's.
This is a French painted bisque 11" tall French provincial regional costumed socket head doll from approximately 1920's - 1930's. The back of her head has the imprint SFBJ Paris 3/0. She has jointed arms and legs. Her head is painted bisque and the rest of her is painted composition.
She has blue sleep eyes, red lips painted in good condition. She has a brown synthetic curly hair wig, beautiful straw woven hat with embroidery flowers, black apron with flowers hand painted on it with black lace trim. The bottom of her apron where there are painted flowers there is painted 'NICC'. There is red and white stripped long skirt with black ribbon trim. White shoes are painted on her feet.
She has less than 1/2" hairline crack at the back of her neck and chip at back of body about 1/4" or less and very narrow. The left side of her face is a little dirty. Faint craze line is on left arm. Head is strung a little loose.
