Madame Alexander 14" tall Wendy Bride jointed leg doll in hard plastic with original box, circa 1950
This is a Madame Alexander 14" tall Wendy Bride jointed leg and knee doll in hard plastic with original box, circa 1950. She has blonde hair in original set, blue sleep eyes with excellent hair lashes. Her ivory colored dress is clean and crisp and tagged. Tag reads in blue 'Wendy Bride Madame Alexander Reg U.S. Pat Off NY USA'. She has her veil and floral bouquet. Two flowers on her dress match the bouquet. Facial paint and features are excellent with great color, not faded. She wears nylon stockings, panties and garter on 1 leg.
She is a winner in the UFDC United Federation of Doll Collectors national competition from 2015 that took place in Kansas City and won 3rd place in her category. She comes with her winning white ribbon.
She comes with her original blue Madame Alexander box with ivory color tissue. The box has it's lid. The bottom of box has a section that had been punched through and put back. 1 edge of the box bottom is unglued. The box generally is dustty. It has it's Madame Alexander label. There is a rip on side 1-1/2", back side is 1-1/2" x 1-1/2". The lid is worn and has masking tape on 3 sides, water marks on top lid and missing 1 edge of the lid. Edges of box are separated. 1 short edge has a missing rectangle piece 1-1/4" x 3/4".
