Morimura Brothers bisque character baby doll 18" tall, won 2nd place ribbon in it's category at UFDC competitive doll show in 2012. UFDC is United Federation of Doll Clubs at their national show. This doll was made in Japan from approximately 1915 through 1919. They were imported from Japan during World War I when German dolls could not be imported. It's head mold is marked 3-7.
It has very good painting on her face and very good molding for bisque head and hands. It has thick compo body and limbs. There is a chip on compo at left neck line and a 3/4" craze line on left chest and some uneven compo at side and shoulder blade and paint wear on legs and feet.
She wears a vintage dress with lace and a newer hand crochet sweater, hat and booties set.
