This is a beautiful Figurine made in Hungary by the HOLLOWAZA porcelain factory in the city with the same name. Please read details below. It is a long and stylized Hungarian Lady porcelain Figurine made of a very light mate green mint color with gold decorations all over her long dress. She carries a white high gloww jar with gold color accents. Her long dark hair was unusually braided and it goes down below the neck line. It is 12" tall and is marked on the bottom with the Hungarian factory name and model number. It is in excellent condition!

Hollohaza The settlement's name is closely linked to the porcelain made here to which it owes world fame. Many visitors cherish the untouched mountainside in which this northernmost village of Hungary is nestled. Hollóháza is the eastern end of the 1096-kilometre National Blue Hiking Trail (kéktúra útvonal).

The settlement has been inhabited since the Árpád Age. Its name, translating to 'Raven's Home', comes from the raven in the coat of arms of the Pauline Order which once had a hermitage outside of the village known as 'raven house'.

More recently the town's fortune has been closely linked to the manufacture of earthenware and porcelain. At the site of the current factory, where crockery has been produced from 1831 onwards, a glassworks was established in 1777.

Following nationalisation a modern porcelain factory began operations in 1949. A significant step in its history was the arrival of graphic artist and painter Endre Szász in 1977; he initiated the artwork of paintings on porcelain and exquisite vases made of porcelain. A painting by Szász is also exhibited in a prominent place of the local school.

The porcelain museum renders a comprehensive overview of the town's earthenware and porcelain traditions. Also pay a visit to the Reformed and modern Roman Catholic churches. Contemplate upon the Calvary made from porcelain paintings leading to the latter.

The surrounding hills offer excellent hiking routes and touring destinations. It was not by chance that Hollóháza was selected as the eastern end point of the National Blue Hiking Trail (Országos Kék Túra), marked by a memorial in the village centre.
