This item is a round butter dish from Cambridge Glass in the "Diane" etch listed on page 83 of, "Elegant Glass of the Depression Era, Twelfth Edition" by Gene & Cathy Florence. The base is 1 3/4"deep, 6 3/4" at the handles, with a body width of 5 1/8", and the round dome cover is 2 1/2" tall, 4 1/2" in diameter by 3/4" across the square finial. The butter dish has the "Diane" etch which consists of medallions with flower blossoms inside them and flower blossoms, leaves, stems and vines.
