This item is a pinecone pattern basket done in green glaze from Roseville Pottery manufactured in the mid 1930's and is unmarked with the exception of a "9" done in blue. The piece is 10 1/2" tall at the handle top, 7 1/8" across the flared upper rim, with a foot diameter of 6 1/8". The handle is executed in the form of a twig which extends to the pinecone motif on the upper rim of the basket. The pinecones have needles surrounding them that flow down the body of the basket and circle a portion of the rim. The body of the basket is shaded green glaze and exhibits crazing on the interior bottom. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs on the piece.
