This item is an urn shaped humidor bottom marked, "China, TE-OH, Hand Painted, Nippon". The piece is 8" tall with cover on, 6 3/4" at the shoulder, by 3 3/4" across the flared foot. The off white body has a man on a horse crossing a bridge with a standard bearer walking behind him. There is a Geisha in a bout crossing the river below the bride with a tree on the right bank and vegetation on the left bank. The reverse a man and boy looking across a bridge to an island that has hills on it with trees on both land areas. The original sponge in the cover for moisture is gone and there is slight wear on the handle's gold trim and shoulder motif from use, but there are no chips, cracks, or touch ups on the piece.
