This item is a bulbous standard glaze vase decorated with a wild rose blossom bottom marked, Owens, 1044" by impression. The vase is 9" tall, 4 1/2" at it's widest body diameter, by 2 1/4" across the clear glazed bottom. The dark brown background with a lighter brown area on the bulbous section of the vase. The central decoration consists of a wild rose blossom surrounded by leaves, buds, and thorny stems. The vase has fine uniform crazing consistent with age and a loose piece of debris is trapped inside from during the firing process, and a small flake in the base covered with original glaze prior to firing.
