This item is a milk pitcher in the "Frosted Lion" pattern from Gillinder & Sons of Philadelphia circa 1877. The pitcher is 6 5/8" tall at the spout, 6" handle to spout, by 3 1/2" across the base which is slightly out of round. The upper rim has two sections of tear drop like decoration with a clear glass body. The foot of the piece is frosted with two lions laying down. The body of the pitcher has a straw mark and the relief is somewhat weak due to the manufacturing process. The pitcher has no chips, cracks, flakes, cloudiness or repairs.
