This item is a large Limoges hand painted cake plate or charger decorated with lovely ripe strawberries. The plate is 12 1/2" across the tab handles, 12" in overall diameter, by 1 1/4" deep. The piece has groups of ripe strawberries with lush green leaves and light green runners, and has green, teal, and beige shading around the plates edge flowing to the center. The white back of the plate has the "Guerin-Pouyat-Elite, Ltd." mark as identified in the "Kovel's New Dictionary of Marks" on page 187 frame B, dating the plate circa 1901. There is a very minor abrasion on the plates front that is visible if the piece is tilted into the light, but there are no chips, cracks, flakes, repairs, or decoration wear.
