This item is an ashtray made by Wedgwood picturing the south wall and barracks at Fort Ticonderoga. The white bodied ashtray is 4 1/4" in diameter by 11/16" deep with three indentations to rest cigarettes in the rim. The piece is decorated in red with cannon in the foreground and the south wall and barracks in the background. The rim of the ashtray is decorated with raised flower blossoms with leaves and stems. The piece is back marked, "Fort Ticonderoga, South Wall and South Barracks". The kiln stilt marks have been ground and the piece shows no chips, cracks, stains, or repairs.
