Pretty inlaid box, veneered in a burr walnut and decorated with geometric parquetry. I think it dates from 1930s. It is quite light weight and may have originally been for cigarettes but it has been relined with padding for jewellery. It sits on little square feet.
It is in very good condition and has a nice polished finish and patina. On the top there are patches of wear to the veneer, which is thin, due to handling over the years, but this is inconspicuous because it blends in. Please examine the photographs to make your assessment of the condition, and please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.
It measures 7.25 inches (18.5cm) x 3.75 inches (9.25cm) x just over 2.25 inches (6cm) high.
