Bejeweled with clear stones covering its body, this copper-colored bird has four topaz-colored stones adorning his tail feathers and a small green stone for his eye. This pin appears to be based on a Boucher pin from the early 1940's referred to "Jack to Martha" that can be referenced on page 53 of Vol. 1 of Brunialti's tome "American Costume Jewelry." While the book remarks that there are some unmarked and un-enameled Boucher pieces in this design, the signature "Tara" says otherwise.
