I can easily date this clip to WWII because it is made of sterling silver. During the war much of the jewelry was made of sterling because pot metal, the usual costume jewelry metal, was considered a war material and was not used for jewelry. This Coro cockatoo bird clip looks like it was made yesterday as it is in such exquisite condition.
