Did you know the Queen of England owns all the swans in the River Thames? Swans like the one depicted in this pin are auspicious, indeed. Dating from 1941, this Trifari swan brooch, designed by Norman Bel Geddes, is decorated with brilliant clear rhinestones and has a contoured clear jelly Lucite belly. A large blue cabochon eye completes this book piece that you can find in Brunialti's tomes of vintage jewelry.
Condition: Excellent Vintage.
The example in Brunialti's book features the pin orientation vertical, not horizontal as in my piece. I am unaware of any alternations to the pin and assume that it was made that way as it would be easier and more stable to "pin" on to clothing.

Approximate Measurements: 2-3/4"x2"
