Even if you aren't familiar with the name Ugo Correani, you know his work. This Italian maestro of jewelry, designed for some of the biggest fashion houses -- Chanel, Lacroix, Versace, Chole, Valentino, etc. etc. Harper's Bazzar called him "vintage fashion's best kept secret."
Although little is left of his records after he died in the early 1990's, he did leave behind beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry from his own collection. Here is an example of a brooch and earring set. The ruffled pin is in a golden matte finish and can be positions in any direction. The earrings are golden and shiny, a subtle contrast to the pin. If you are already familiar with Ugo, you know his workmanship and designs are exquisite. If you are new to his work, I would suggest starting with this chic, but accessible set.
