I thought I had found an early Miriam Haskell when I first spotted this "more than wonderful" pearly pin hanging from a 1960's chain. Then I saw the "Anka" tag on it and realized I had found an Anka creation. Anka was a jewelry designer from New York who took pieces of vintage jewelry in the 1990's and re-imagined them as large and fantastic pieces. In this example of her work you see she's taken a pin/pendant from the 1940's and attached it to a chain marked 1961. All vintage pieces, of course, but put together a little more recently. Quite stunning, nonetheless!
