Victorian era old mine cut diamond ring . The diamond measures 3 mm and is approx. 10-12 points due to it's high cut. I estimate it to be I color and SI clarity. It has a large open cutlet which is characteristic for mine cut diamonds. Very pretty 6 prong setting holds this precious diamond in place. This was a very common size diamond for the time, when people lived simple lives. It was cared for and probably only worn for special occasions. Very nice condition for it's age.
It is stamped 14, and is a size 6.5and can be sized. It weighs 2.3 grams
