ROGERS & BROTHER CO was established in 1858 at Waterbury by Asa Jr. and Simeon Rogers. The firm was incorporated in Rogers BROS Mfg Co in 1866, and joined the International Silver Company in 1898.
Beautifully clearly engraved with a floral pattern, this is an unusual and rare find in that it is a matched set of a tea cup for the ladies and a moustache cup for the gentlemen. Both pieces have saucers, too.
Having raised bases, the saucers are 5-3/4 inches in diameter and each sits approximately 7/8 inches high.
Each cup is approximately 2-1/4 inches high with a diameter of 3-1/2 inches (top) and 1-3/4 inches (bottom).
The saucers bear the ROGERS and BRO TRIPLE PLATE mark and the tea cup in engraved "15P" and "HARD WHITE METAL"
This set is in lovely condition with natural finish.
