Jay Flex Jewelry Company began in Montreal, Canada in the early 1930’s and they produced jewelry until the mid 1960’s. Jay Flex was renowned for the quality of their designs and workmanship. Many of their pieces were adorned with high-quality rhinestones and were usually executed on sterling as a base metal, whereas other designers at that time were using cheaper metals such as brass, chrome and other pot metal.
The pin measures 1 7/8" in diameter and has 19 brilliant blue stones, all original and all prong set. The pin rod is straight and the back is clearly marked "Jay Flex" and "Sterling".
The matching screw-back earrings measure 3/4" long x 1?2" wide at the widest point and each has two brilliant blue prong-set stones.
Although over 50 years old, this set is in exceptional condition.
