Geza De Vegh, an important artist and ceramicist who created a line of porcelain pieces for the Lamberton Scammell company in Trenton, New Jersey. Importantly, De Vegh's work was very popular among set designers and art directors in Hollywood. His works are evident in the background of important Bette Davis films such as "The Letter," and "Now Voyager" . He received a grant from the League of Nations to study in Vienna, Rome, the Vatican and Ghent, Belgium. In 1930, he worked on the west front of the cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York, and later was engaged to assist with the figurative sculpture that decorates the exterior of the Princeton University Chapel. He also worked on the Supreme Court building, Washington DC.
