Chris Nissen is a nationally known award winning American artist from Philadelphia, PA, principally known for his landscape paintings. Compelling compositions, intense colors, and lush paint surfaces, are the trademarks of his work. For the past 25 years, this American artist has painted throughout the US. During the last ten years he has spent much time painting in Maine and in the Philadelphia area.
The artist graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1980 and has been painting continuously since than. The artist has achieved an outstanding reputation as one of the regions most respected landscape painters and his work has been praised by Art Critics, Museum and Gallery Directors, and even a former US President.
