Here is a nice Vintage Drawing of a Native American Woman with other Faces and Horse by an unknown artist for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion or keep for yourself!
The colors of the piece are very eye catching. The paper has a brownish hue to it and then you can see areas of purple. There are applied circles that go around all over the drawing.
This fine Native American Drawing is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end auction house or art gallery, as we have been selling artwork out of our home for over 35 years. We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that the higher end houses and art galleries experience.
Not sure of the artist name. A star and o"" mark in the bottom down by "96" which we presume is the year the drawing was done. The left and right edges of the drawing say 50% Cotton Fiber. Very whimsical in how the captured images are put together in the piece. Just a beautiful capture by the artist.
The center piece of the drawing appears to be a Native American woman. May be pregnant. There is a fertility mark around her belly and then noted in other places in the drawing. The top of the head of another person approaching the woman can be seen below her.
A horse on the right side looking over towards the woman. Then to the left of the woman there is the top part of a baby's head and below that another face can be seen.
Some scratching to the drawing in the bottom middle. Some wear along the edges of the drawing.
The Drawing is framed and matted. The wood frame has a rustic hue to it. Exposed wood and rough hewn. The matting behind the drawing appears to be hand drawn by the artist as well with horizontal black lines on it.. The glass is intact over the watercolor. The black paper backing is still pretty much intact. The gallery label is still in place.
Unfortunately, there is no provenance that came with this beautiful Drawing of a Native American Woman, other than the story we have shared with you and the Dali markings in ink that are on the piece. So we would recommend that you or your agent come to see the piece them in person to be the judge of what we are offering here, before acquiring.
International buyers, the piece is too valuable to ship via traditional online store shipping options. If you as an international buyer are seriously interested in acquiring the piece, please contact us, and we will see what we can do to get this beautiful Dali artwork to you.
The framed Drawing is 31-3/8" tall, by 39.5" across, by 1.5" wide. The watercolor within the matting is 19.5" tall by 28.25" across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. Don’t be shy to make an offer, we are always open to reasonable suggestions.
