Here is a nice pair of Porcelain Shells lamps for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself!
Nice looking set of matching lamps for you here. We do not see any maker's marks on the lamps, probably date to the 1950s. The bases are made of a heavy metal, may be brass or may be a non-magnetic metal with a brass colored lacquer on them. Still have a nice finish to them. The glass lamps are covered in these nice looking shell designs. One of the lamps has a blue inside to the shells, the other a pink inside. That carries thru to the porcelain shell and brass look finials as well. Probably some loss of shell edges from years of wear and tear and polishing, but not very evident. Then on the front of the lamp there is a beautiful floral scene on each of them surrounded by gold colored sashes.
The metal ware has nice beading below the porcelain and then additional detailing at the bottom of the metal base.
The lamps do operate. No cracks, chips or blistering to the lamp bases. The electric cords appear to be in good shape. We are not sure of the maker of these lamps. One has an Eagle socket in it, the other a Leviton socket, so at least one of them has been replaced at some point in the past. There is no felt on the bottom of the bases, there probably was at some point in the past.
Each of these porcelain lamps is 20.75" tall (to top of finial), by 3-78" across at widest part of porcelain base, by 2-5/16" wide at widest part of the finial. The lamps are 12.25" tall to the top of the light socket.
