This hard plastic doll from the 1950s is made in the likeness of wacky Carmen Miranda, the fruit-on-her-head dancing lady.
The doll stands 8" tall.
She has a turban of fruit on her head (of course) and wears huge gold hoop earrings, a lace criss cross bodice with a crisp skirt of melon pink taffeta with black braided trim.
She has sleep eyes that open when she's held upright, and close if she's laid down; we've included an image of her lying down, showing her eyes shut.
Carmen Miranda was a Portuguese-born Brazilian samba singer, dancer, Broadway actress, and film star who was popular in the 1940s and 1950s. (thanks to Wikipedia)
This is for Carmen Miranda only: we do have a few of the other Dolls of the World available now, too:
*The Spanish Dancer
*The Eskimo Girl
*The Oriental Girl and
*The Gypsy Girl
