These sleek, high waisted women's vintage trousers are made simply, with single darts for fitting in front and back, and slender, tapered legs.

Labeled:

“Tailored at Eastmoor”

“Simply Beautiful”

These are woven; there is no fiber label, they feel like all cotton, almost a polished cotton, or possibly a cotton blend. There is NO LYCRA or spandex meaning these do not stretch or give the way modern fabrics do, so please keep that in mind as you compare measurements, please.

Sized as (vintage) 9/10, these measure more like a contemporary size 2 to 4:

Measurements:

The waist band is 7/8" wide.

23" waist

12" front rise seam from bottom of waistband to crotch seam

13 and 3/8" from bottom of waistband in back to crotch seam

35" hip

26" inseam

36.5" out seam from bottom of waistband to hem

12" opening at leg hem

This has a side zipper, nylon, by Talon.

Back in the 70s, some vinties referred to these slim slacks as cigarette trousers, while many called them "Laura Petrie" pants, since she often wore them (and capris!) on The Dick Van Dyke Show in the 60s.

These look great worn with flats and a sharp tailored blouse (collar up!) or a knit top, or even with a nice bulky sweater and boot.

Freshly laundered, ready to wear.

Condition: excellent with the exception that there is a small mend in the facing; this is not visible when worn. We've included a photo of that area before being sent out to be mended.
