This pretty spring power suit in periwinkle purple and cream hounds-tooth plaid is by Evan Picone, and is beautifully constructed.
It is fully lined, has a jewel neckline, button front closure and faux
pearl button trimmed patch pockets which align perfectly with the bodice beneath them.
With these enormous shoulders and deep arms-eyes, that generally would date a suit such as this to the 1980s, but it has the red white and blue
union label, so it could possibly be earlier.
The skirt has single darted back panels, with double tucks in the front, there are angled pockets at the top of the side seams. It is labeled size 10.

The fabric has a super soft hand, but holds it's shape really well. It may be a wool blend, but we're unable to say for certain what the fiber content is.
This is in excellent condition, the white lining is pristine, suggesting this has been worn very gently, if at all.
