We acquired these matching novelty embroidered fishing themed shirts years ago, and initially we listed them together since they are SUCH a great pair of shirts, however, sizing wise, that’s not a particularly effective way to offer them, so we are now listing them separately. We will discount if you order both of them, though.
These are two white short sleeve shirts, made by different companies. Ollie and Ray apparently enjoyed fishing, and maybe were in a fishing contest at some point, possibly, so they bought similar shirts that they then took to an embroiderer to have them custom made with their names on them.
This is for the Ray/male shirt.
Embroidered names with person fishing off the front of a boat. Ollie’s has a pony tail in back, Ray’s does not. Ollie’s fish is red, Ray’s is black.
Shirts are both white, short sleeved. Ray’s has a built in stitched sleeve cuff, Ollie’s is long enough to roll in to a cuff.
Ray’s has a pocket under his embroidery, Ollie’s does not.
Ray's shirt is a typical 1950s bowling shirt style, with the loop at the top, sort of a shirt-jack hem, and the sleeves as described above.
Made in California
Sized as 8 (seems odd, that’s typically a women’s size, rather than a men’s size), measurements suggest a men’s size XL, according to Brook’s Brothers. We strongly recommend comparing our measurements to a shirt of your own that fits the way you like to determine best fit.
5 button front with loop button at top
Has back yoke with tuck on each side to allow more ease for stretch
9” sleeve length
This would be perfect for a VLV (Viva Las Vegas) weekender or The Memphis International Rockabilly Festival, or any of the many rockabilly clubs and parties around the world.
