This shirt has THE coolest embroidery of a congo player on his drum, and a fuzzy (flocked) turquoise tapa-look print next to the bound finished chest pocket on this outstanding Iolani shirt jac.
It's in beautiful "like new" condition; and as you probably know, these authentic shirt jacs from the late 1950s early 60s are getting harder and harder to find, especially in these larger sizes.
This one is made of a beautiful lightweight polished blend fabric with a blue/gold iridescent (some would call this sharkskin) sheen and incredible details.
It's made in the traditional (shirt jac) style with the hidden front button placket and hip side buttons. The buttons themselves are awesome, made of standard clear plastic, but with a 4 prong star shaped design in them.
The label reads: "Iolani Sportswear, Liberty House Hawaii" and the measurements are:
7.25" neck point to shoulder point
24" from neck point to hem
20" across back shoulder point to shoulder point
9.5" sleeve length.
Perfect for rockabilly heaven (otherwise known as VLV), or just to go to the Lava Lounge for cocktails on a Thursday night.
