These bright turquoise and ocean blue flowers really pop against the black background of this maxi skirt from the 70s.
This is a gathered dirndl skirt attached to a wide waistband wih a metal talon zipper at the side seam, and 3 hooks and eyes to keep it closed at the top.
1.75" wide wb, that has a 1.5" extension on the end.
34.5" long from bottom of the waistband to the skirt's hem
the hem has 3" black cotton lining/backing
96" sweep of hem
Condition: this is adorable, however, most likely it is custom or home made, as they didn't catch the edges all the way around the waistband; also, the back of the waistband shows a very little bit of wear, and there is a light brown spot on the INSIDE of the waistband, this is not visible when worn. If this is worn with a wide black belt, none of these issues are visible at all.
We love these maxis worn with flats, flip flops, or granny boots (and fishnet stockings). Top with a knit camisole and a faded blue denim jacket or vest, add a choker and huge hoop earrings, and you've got the look.
We've dated this to the 70s since maxis were so popular then, however, the fabric is more of a 1960s style of print.
Belt, choker, and knit top are not included: this is for the skirt only.
