This super cute blouse pattern by Simplicity features long collar points on a deep neckline with a choice of sleeveless or long sleeve options.
The front can be finished with buttons and loops, or eyelets that can be laced up.
They show it both tucked in, and worn out, more like a tunic, or over-blouse.
There are 8 pieces; all are present.
The envelope is structurally sound, although it does have light discoloring on the front (it's whiter along one edge), while the back looks slightly darker around the edges of the envelope.
This is labeled size 8, which in 1971 translates to a bust of 31 1/2. If you know how to grade patterns, this can easily be adjusted to fit any size.
We find it interesting when the illustrations on sewing patterns reflect celebrities of the era; we're sure it was done with the hopes of increasing attention and in turn, their sales by using them. This pattern, for example, has a lovely brunette in the lower right corner that looks very similar to Ali McGraw, star of Love Story (1970) or possibly Katharine Ross of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969).
