This pattern is for an easy to sew sundress with sleeveless straps, fitted waist, and full skirt. It zips up the back.
Pattern number 8049 by Simplicity, this is dated 1977.
There are 7 pc, all are here, as are the sewing instructions.
The envelope is in nearly excellent condition, with only slightly bent bottom corners. The graphics are in red and white.
One of the models is shown in a white eyelet version, it is so pretty, and we would highly recommend that fabric be considered to make a dress like this!
Sized as 11/12 young junior teen, this translates to a bust of only 32" in the 70s. Waist of 25, hip of 35, however, this has a full skirt so that isn't as fitted as the bodice.
If you know how to grade patterns, you can easily adjust this to fit any size.
The envelope has some hand written notes on it, and it also has a store stamp on it.
This is such a cute dress, it would be perfect for spring and summer wear, or, if made in autumn fabrics, could be worn with a blouse underneath, as shown in version 2.
