The graphics on this pattern are very pretty, in colors of a muted sage green and a striking dark maroon shade of purple with light stripes.
The pattern is a classic shirtwaist dress, their description is:
"Misses' and Women's one-piece dress: The button-front bodice is styled with a back shoulder yoke with gathers below it. Dart seams release soft fullness in the bodice front and gathers finish the lower edge. The skirt front features two inverted pleats and the back is seamed at either side of the center. In style I, the bishop sleeves are finished with pointed wrist bands which fasten with link buttons. The open neckline is trimmed with a collar. Style II has a high, round neckline and cap sleeves."
This has a total of 13 pattern pieces, all are present.
This is listed as a size 16, which at that time (in the 40s) translated to a bust of only 34". If you know how to grade patterns, this can easily be made larger, as needed.
The bottom of the envelope has worn open, however the two women figures on the front do not have any direct tears through them.
This is an authentic, original pattern, it is not a copy. It has a copyright date on it of 1945.
