Copyright 1959 Conde Nast Publications, NY, NY pattern labeled "Vogue Special Design" for a boxy cut suit jacket and slim pencil skirt with squared neckline blouse.
All 19 pieces are present and included. The skirt has been cut; the rest are uncut.
This is a vintage size 14, which at that time translated to a bust 34 and hip of 36.
The pattern is described as:
"Easy fitting jacket buttons below, away from neckline, shaped collar. Flap concealed pockets. Vent in center back seam. Below elbow length sleeves. Straight skirt with center back pleat. Fitted over-blouse has short sleeves.
The fabric recommendations are:
Tweed-Worsted-Lightweight Woolen-Wool Jersey- Flannel- Wool Broadcloth- Shantung-Surah-Faille-Barathea-Cotton Tweed-Linen
This is in excellent condition, and the envelope is remarkable as well with bright, vivid colors and fabulous graphics. the envelope has typically dented corners, and a 2" slash along the folded upper corner. The flap is still attached and in good shape, too. None of these issues affects the pattern itself, which is pristine, and perfectly ready to lay out and cut.
If you can grade patterns (or know someone who can), this is a lovely pattern to share; it's very on trend.
