The pants sit below the natural waistline and have enormous wide bell bottom legs.
The blouse is cut with a placket front, long "dog ear" collar points, puffy sleeves and curved cut-in side seam hem finish, so it can be worn out over the top of the pants, while being long enough to be tucked in, if the wearer wishes.

We actually like these worn as separates, although they look good together, we really like them worn separately.
These pant suits were worn to school, movie nights, basket ball games, and in those churches who allowed it, eventually, to church on chilly Sundays.
