This is a clip on, and works perfectly, and is in excellent condition.

Bow ties are often associated with professors, old country doctors, magicians and lawyers, intelligent and individualistic characters.

Also, there's always prom season, and wedding season...lots of graduation parties in the spring, engagement parties...

The wonderful, sturdy texture suggests a rayon fabric (no fiber label). Estimated at least 1950s, very possibly late 1940s vintage.

Dress like Young Sheldon. Bow ties are best.
