This authentic washing board is by Champion, and is made of brass in a wood frame.
It measures 12.5" across, it's 24" high and about 2" deep.
Washboards were the preferred laundry tool used back in the late 1890s up through the 1930s and even into the 1940s.
This one was used, it does show wear. It is sturdy, still and could still help rub out a stain or two, if you wished.
These are sought after as laundry room decor now, they make great wall hangings, they look terrific stacked on a shelf with piles of fluffy towels, or it could even be part of an enormous dried flower arrangement.
