Another classic collectible menswear sport coat, this one is a cool late 1960s 2-button jacket of burnished gold, forest green, olive green and sage green plaid.
This jacket is beautifully constructed with bound interior pockets, half back lining, double back vents, a sweet narrow curved lapel, front bound flap finish slash pockets and a little loop in the back of the neck so it can be hung over a peg in a pub!
The tag says "Original Sewell Clothes" but there are no fiber or size labels. It feels like wool, or a wool blend, and it has a soft hand, so maybe has a touch of cashmere in it possibly.
Laid flat this measures:
17" across the back shoulders,
24" sleeve length
29" long from shoulder to hem.
These measurements translate to a modern men’s size medium, according to a Brook’s Brothers size guide.
This has been freshly dry cleaned, looks fabulous and has no odors or exterior flaws; if you look closely, you can see that there are ever-so-slight underarm marks on the LINING, this is not visible when worn. We are pricing lower, accordingly.
This has a fabulous Paul Newman/Steve McQueen Eddie Bauer/Land's End look...looks great with jeans, khakis or corduroys.
And although it is a classic men's jacket, it can be worn by women, too, for a weekend of antiquing or heading to a football game!
