Here is a fun lipstick red cylinder-shaped plastic tote made by "Styling Plastics" from the modern late 1960s/early 1970s.
This stands 9 and 1/2" tall, and is 9 and 1/16" across; the curved, hinged handle is 14" long adding about 6.5" of height when held up.
This has luggage "flippers" on each side to secure the latches, and a single hinge in back.
All hardware is brass toned and all pieces do show aging; please see all close up photos.
This opens in half, and it is absolutely pristine.
There is a 1 and 3/4" high knob in the center of the bottom for a foam or rubber mannequin head to sit securely and hold a styled wig (and/or hat) in place; perfect for a traveling lady, and very handy for a traveling cancer patient: one of my best friends used one of these when she was going through her chemo treatments, and she loved the convenience of it.
If not as a wig carrier, it is a magnificent, dynamic color and can be used as a (large) purse or tote. Can also carry a special vintage hat to an event destination in style, too.
