Dark marine gray vinyl travel case with silver toned hardware: handle base, slide latch, feet.
Exterior is excellent, with only minor tarnish on the base of the handle.
Securely latches, and opens perfectly to a light blue satin jacquard lining with elastic tabs on the lid: we think these may have held a mirror in place originally which also explains the small dabs on the lid (may have had glue to help hold it in place too). Currently this has no mirror (we are selling as found). No key, either. (luggage keys are quite generic, and can often be used interchangeably)
The interior has some light staining on the bottom and the fore-mentioned small marks on the lid. Has the lady like scent of powder cosmetics.
13" across x 9.5" deep by 7" tall with handle of 2 3/4" high when standing upright.
Looks like Samsonite, but there is no maker's label or mark anywhere.
great retro piece of luggage to actually travel with, or, some like to decorate and create extra storage by stacking suitcases and topping with a train case.
