This is a very pretty crocheted lace collar with drawstring channel near the neckline edge. The hem undulates with a feminine scalloped edge finish. It is in excellent condition.

Measurements are:

3.25” deep at the center front, narrowing to 3” deep at center back

16.5” measuring along the inner neck curve from end to end.

The satin ribbon is 1/8” wide and 33” long from tip to tip. This could be exchanged for any color ribbon to co-ordinate with various tops and sweaters or outfits.

This can be gathered and shortened by slipping the ribbon tighter through the loops, so it is considered to be one size fits most.

This feels like all cotton, but it may possibly be a blend.

These lace collars were popular over a number of years and have gained in popularity again in the recent past. They are quite versatile and are very pretty worn with all kinds of tops; our favorites are a nice jewel necked cashmere sweater or a silky satin jewel-necked blouse.

We’re dating this to the 1930s as we acquired it with a group of other lacework dating from the 1800s to the 1940s.
