He's a wee bit of a scamp, and perhaps a tiny bit evil ~ this green eyed, green-suited little fellow has his pot of gold tucked under one arm with a charming yet kind of creepy grin on his face.
The pin section is behind his head, and his neck is on a spring, so it actually sort of looks like he's dancing an Irish jig, as he wiggles (trembles) a bit with any sort of movement!
He is just 2" tall and about an inch wide, behind the fastener he gets to be about 1/2" deep.
He wears tiny pointed shoes, and a pointed hat; his ears are pointy, too.
He has hand-painted eyes, he is wearing a bow tie at his neck with green rhinestones on each end; he also has a green rhinestone set as a ring on his left hand. His pot of gold has three clear rhinestones set across the top for an extra bit of bling and sparkle!
This has the texture finished back so popular in the 1960s; the original paint wasn't applied very skillfully as there are bits of green on the back of the pin on his right foot and left knee. There is some minor edge wear along the hem of his flared little shirt; please see all photos.
The top circle of the spring is a bit larger than the rest of it, due to holding the weight of the pin itself (which weighs 1/2 an ounce).
Neat little vintage pin, nice kinetic movement ...sure to get some smiles for St Patty's Day.
