This Morgan Jones Minuet fringed hem bedspread of white candlewicked cotton is labeled as a "Full" but covers our queen size bed pretty well, too.
The design features an enormous circle in it's middle, with an eight-sided star in it's center, surrounded by really cool floral patterns. The circle is edged in triangular shapes, and outside of the circle are more stylized flowers and stars; it is simply gorgeous.
108" x 90"
and is excellent condition with no flaws.
As a silly aside, an ardent fan of I Love Lucy determined that her (Lucille Ball's) bedspread was a Morgan Jones Minuet, and that she actually did an ad for them (we've included an image of that ad here). The same bedspread (or another like it, a Minuet Morgan Jones) was also used on Bonanza and The Andy Griffith Show.
Some refer to these textured bedspreads as chenille, but, officially, this is candlewick, some call it hobnail.
From Hub Pages, we found their background on Morgan Jones and chenille:
Morgan Jones had an edge over other bedding manufacturers, as they had established factories by the late 1800's. Despite being a larger industrial chenille bedding manufacturer, Morgan Jones was known for producing quality chenille bedding that is highly sought after by vintage bedspread collectors.
This is quite heavy (we're estimating it's weight as we're currently on the road, but will add actual weight once we get back home, thank you for your patience), so shipping will be a bit on the high side, compared to some bedding. It is a sign of their quality, for what that's worth.
