We LOVE the fabric of this theater dress: stripes of lime and Kelly green, with yellow, purple and white flowers and geometric shapes, all vivid and bright!
The silhouette has a fitted bodice and slender long sleeves, with an enormously flared, full skirt.
Measurements for this are:
14.5" wide, from shoulder point to shoulder point
22.5" sleeve length
8" around each sleeve hem opening
15.5" long from the center back of the neck to the waistline,
54.5" from center back of the neck to the hem
128" sweep of hem
We photographed her with a full length crinoline; that is not included with the dress.
This is part of a theater acquistion, so it is not sewn well, and has unusual closures: for example, rather than a zipper up the back, this has hook and eye tape...and, whoever was the seamstress, started the tape below the top edge of the neckline, so there's a bit of a gap at the top, that needs an extra hook, or a snap or button.
This also has verdant green braid trim near the skirt's hem: this, too, is not sewn well: the line is wavy and uneven, but, from far away (stage), it probably presented just fine.
In this group, we also acquired another, similar dress, in a similar silhouette, made of calico-esche floral fabric. We can only imagine that these were to designed to suggest, perhaps, girls on the prairie, with the long, full skirts and fitted bodices. We imagine aprons would have been a part of these costumes, as well.
We are happy to combine to reduce shipping, and we do discount for multiple item purchases, in case you're interested in both of them. This listing, though, is for the green dress only.
