This adorable holiday apron of crisp organdy has a huge Christmas tree outlined in green and gold ric rac trim on the front, with multi-colored real jingly bells attached as ornaments.
At first we thought the apron strings had been goofed with, until we realized one tie is shorter than the other, so the longer one hangs down like a tail, with a bell on the end of it!
This measures 21 and 1/4" from the bottom of the holly green satin ribbon waistband (that is 1" wide)and is 38" across the bottom. The short tie end is 11" long, the one with the bell is 24" long.
It is 21" across the top of the red chiffon, where it has tucks to bring it in a bit.
Condition: We found an 1/8" hole on the bottom right bough, and a 1/4" dark spot on the bottom left bough near the trunk. Pricing lower accordingly.
Freshly hand laundered, and steamed, and ready to wear!
This is a fabulously kitschy apron, perfect for baking spritz cookies or kringle with the grandkids, in preparation for Santa's late night snack!
Estimated 1950s to 1960s vintage.
