In the 60s, hostess aprons were worn for bridal showers, church socials, graduation receptions...anywhere that some well dressed woman wanted to protect her skirt while she was serving food or beverages to her guests.
So, you can imagine that at the holidays, of course, these hostess aprons were worn, and gifted.
This Christmas apron is in such excellent condition, it seems likely that it was never worn.
It is all white, with charming red trim along the hem and on and around the pocket. In the center of the pocket, is a delightful embroidered patch of two red bells with green bow, clacker and rims. Along with that, there is some sparkling gold ric rac trim, as well.
2" wide waistband
17.5" long from bottom of the waistband to the hem
19" center front panel of the waistband
This is fresh, and ready to wear, or gift.
