Old shabby chic wood rocking horse with rope tail and vinyl ears, harness and fender with tiny brass stirrups.
This has a worn red barn wash on the rockers (the back right one has a corner off), the horse is an antiqued-tea-stain-off-white with black hooves and topside. He has painted eyes with a red sock-monkey-like mouth.
There is a tapered opening in the horse's back that is 1.5" across the bottom and widens to about 2" across the top: it is 1.25" deep.
This could be used for a candle, or it could be used to hide some foam to secure a small holiday bouquet of greens and holly berries.
This little fella is cute, and would be a neat way to add a vintage touch to a mantel or a bit of the holidays to a shelf in a kid's room.
Estimated 1980s vintage.
