This simple bag has a muslin base with a pretty crocheted top and drawstring closure with fancy oval crocheted bead ends.
From the early 1900s (identified via pg 245 of Ladies Vintage Accessories Identification and Value Guide by LaRee Johson Bruton).
In remarkable condition, with only a small hole on one side (does not go through both layers) near one of the bottom corners.
We’ve seen antique purses like this used as props for vintage display cases, we’ve seen some framed and hung on a wall, and some are worn to vintage shows, fairs and festivals, as well as in period films and theater productions.
