Here is a rare SET of FOUR graduated nesting Federal Glass Ribbed Mixing Bowls, in the rich amber "Golden Glo" color which was produced in the 1930s.
These have the club (some call them petal) footed base on each one, with ribbing up the outsides, and a nice, smooth, curved lip on each one as well.
The measurements are (starting with the smallest):
14 ounces, 7" across the top of the rim x 3" high
18 ounces, 8" across x 3.25" high
26 ounces, 8.25" across x 3.75" high
38 ounces, 9.75" across x 4.5" high.
These are freshly washed, and in excellent condition with no cracks, no chips. There is the slightest trace of cloudiness where the ribbing meets the bases on the exterior sides of the bowls; this is not readily visible (please see all close up photos).
Wonderful kitchenware set for you, or for an amazing vintage house-warming, wedding or anniversary gift.
The harvest gold color lends itself well to autumn entertaining ~ Thanksgiving, perhaps!
