Details:
About those fabulous sleeves: they are beautifully constructed, 1.75” wide band on the sleeve made of 10 tiny rows of stitching which creates fullness and gathers the entire length of the sleeve.
We have lightened many of the images to show detail better, it actually appears sheer in a couple of photos, however, this dress is a deep, dark rich shade of black.
No labels, but this sure reminds us of Ceil Chapman construction. Fiber is possibly a blend, perhaps silk and a synthetic. We recommend dry cleaning.
Side seam zipper. Metal. Talon.
Crepe trimmed in 2” wide satin
Condition: Incredible except for a mend along a seam at the shoulder for about 1 inch. We didn’t even notice it until we were slipping it on our mannequin, so it is not readily visible at all. If you search for it, you can find it, but it is otherwise completely hidden within the seam.
Cocktail dresses like this are perfect event dresses, from wedding receptions (yes, it’s black, but it is stunning!), to theater openings, to nightclubs, and the opera.
